Now a little about the owner and operator of Fay Furniture Services from someone who knows him best his Wife/occasional employee, Teresa:

"When I first met Bill, I was working at the local Ace Hardware in the paint department. While after purchasing all his wood finishing supplies, he asked me for my phone number and the rest is history.".

"Bill decided to start his own refinishing business in 1989. With my help, we picked-up, refinished and delivered all kinds of furniture. When we worked together, watching him wiping on the color, letting it dry and begin spraying on the finish, he always has a serious look on his face. Being very particular on how the pieces look and always matching samples perfectly.".

"It amazes me to this day, how he touches-up or repairs an item and asks me, "Where's the repair?" He still has to point it out to me because he makes it look like the damage was never there.".

"Taking pride in what ever you do, is its best reward.".

"Passing on his traits to his son, Bill, we are able to expand our business in the restoration and fabrication of guitars and amplifiers.".

Now a word from the owner himself, Bill:

"I grew up in a home where fine furniture and antiques are greatly appreciated. On many occasions my mother would bring home a treasure in the rough. My father would have to restore or repair it. I had the opportunity of helping my father in the restoration process. Some years later, I went to work at a

piano restoration shop where we did everything from re-build to refinish pianos. That’s where I got the expertise of doing high-end finishes.".

"My next adventure was running a large restoration shop that did mostly commercial work, which included Executive Office Desks, Conference Tables, Reception Desks, Credenzas, Wall Units and more.

This company also provided an on-site service which included On-site Touch-up and Refurbishing. When I heard there was an opportunity to get involved in this Specialty Service, I went forward and I’m happy I did because I found the on-site work to be very rewarding.".
